True North is India's largest homegrown Private Equity firm that manages a corpus of over $6bn through it's six
high-performing investment vehicles.
It is one of the most experienced Private Equity firms in India.
My role at True North?
To be their strategic counsel.
True North was one of the first accounts that I independently handled all communications for. At age 21, a pop-culture, entertainment fanatic was thrown into the complex worlds of Private Equity and Alternative Investments. Safe to say, it was one of the most enriching learning experiences I have ever had.
At Pitchfork Partners, we managed a 360* communications mandate for True North. This included performing the following functions for the client.
Internal Communications

Drafting and designing internal communication emailers for the company's internal stakeholders, informing them of different learning sessions, light-box activities, new deals, and more.
External Communications

Building media presence for the Partners and facilitating corporate meetings with senior media officials to discuss in-pipeline deals, new HR developments in the company. In my effort of building media relations for True North, I have had the opportunity to interact with some of the biggest global financial publications, including Bloomberg, DealStreetAsia, and the WSJ.
Social Presence

Maintain the brand's LinkedIn and X presence by drafting and designing posts that highlight different facets of True North - its culture, leadership, values, and more. Staying on trend with informative and topical creatives while also creating engaging thought-leadership content on industry-favourite topics such as ESG, AI, Corporate Responsibility, and more.
Website Maintenance
Constantly updating the website content and refreshing the people's page based on new hires and exits. Updating the industry commentary blog, testimonials from portfolio companies and their CEO messages. Doing routine speed runs and maintaining the press hub (media repository) for the brand.
All of this and more.
Sending daily media updates, creating meeting agendas, updating media and social trackers, building briefing documents, listing weekly deliverables on the WRR (Weekly Review Report) and finally, designing quarterly review decks. These were 'some' of the many responsibilities I used to execute for this client.
Client feedback:

"I enjoyed collaborating with Vishesh on True North's marketing initiatives, spanning traditional media and social platforms. I was consistently impressed by his exceptional qualities and contributions during our time together."
